José Ramón González

Rococo, the Mexico-based company known for innovative art and furniture collaborations, commissioned artist Moncho, also known as José Ramón González, and interpreted his drawings into fabric for a chair. González chose a French Louis XIV chair as the base, and juxtaposed the intricate wood carved frame with a fabric inspired by felt drawings called “Cosmology Thoughts.” The intent, according to the artist, was to translate the busy mind into an abstract and colorful drawing.

The chair is available for viewing and purchase at Rococo in Mexico City, and information is available online at http://www.rococo.mx. To learn more about the artist, please visit http://www.moncho-arte.com.
